The Starting Point

Lorien Bakehouse is an artisan bakery and specialty coffee shop in Lujan, province of Buenos Aires. They specialize in sourdough breads, laminated pastries, sandwiches, fresh juices, and specialty coffee. They are open every day from 8 AM to 8 PM.

Before Passtastic, they had no loyalty program at all. They had considered it, but nothing on the market felt right.

We didn't have any loyalty program. We didn't like the idea of having to print cards, stamp them, and have customers carry them around.

Why They Chose Passtastic

The team was looking for a digital loyalty system. After researching online, they found Passtastic.

I wanted to implement a loyalty system that was 100% digital. Passtastic seemed like the most convenient option. My goal was for it to be simple, easily customizable, and not just based on points but also on collecting stamps.

They have a QR code displayed at the counter, next to the register. When customers come up to place their order, the staff member offers them the chance to join "Club Lorien" and explains the benefits. The customer scans the QR code, signs up, and that's it — the card is saved in Apple or Google Wallet.

For existing members, the staff member reminds them to show their QR code so the team can scan it with the shop's phone and add the stamp.

Rolling It Out with the Team

There were no major issues when it came to implementation. Everyone on the team agreed that adding a loyalty program would be beneficial for the business.

It wasn't difficult to install the app on the phones, set up the promotions, and explain the system to the employees. Now it's part of our daily routine.
