The morning rush

A quick scan. No app. No paper.

Customer orders. Phone comes out. Barista scans. Stamp lands. Coffee goes out. The line keeps moving.

No installed app to load. No paper to fish out of a wallet. No POS keystrokes. Any phone you own runs the scanner — Android, iPhone, the spare iPad behind the espresso machine.

"We had customers that didn't try the hot chocolate. When they reached six points, they said, okay, I'll use my free drink to try something new. And they ended up buying it afterwards."
— Alex, Owner
How it works

Customer story · Rewind · Bucharest

Coffee revenue, doubled.

A Japanese-kissaten-inspired record cafe — specialty coffee by day, cocktails and vinyl by night. Four months in, the loyalty card had carried the coffee side through the slow winter season.

"We knew that as winter is approaching, the bar and cocktails part will have a different seasonality. The loyalty program really helped us grow the coffee business during this period."
— Alex, Owner

When they saw that they don't have to install an app or accept layers of security and permissions — it's just connected with my account and nothing more — we got very good feedback from this point of view.

On enrolment friction
"They come in, they order, and while we prepare the coffees, they are already enrolled and stamped and everything is already done."
On the customer experience
"It helps interaction, builds trust for the brand. It's a nice thing to do."
The campaigns part

The kind of marketing you don't have time to send.

Set six campaigns once. They run forever — birthdays, weather, win-backs, reward pushes. The card is just the surface; underneath, your loyalty program does the work of a part-time marketer.

Day 0👋
Welcome on first scan
New customer adds the card. They get an instant push welcoming them to the cafe and reminding them the rewards card is in their wallet, ready to earn.
Birthday week🎂
Free birthday coffee
Their birthday lands on a Tuesday. Monday morning, their lock screen surfaces: "Happy birthday — your coffee is on the house this week, just show your card."
Rainy Monday
Weather-triggered offer
Forecast says rain at 7 a.m. tomorrow. A coupon goes out at 6:30 — "Wet morning? €1 off any large coffee until 11." The kind of campaign you'd never have time to send manually.
30 days quiet
Win-back nudge
A regular hasn't scanned in a month. The card gently surfaces with "We miss you — your next coffee is half off until Sunday."
Walking past📍
Geofenced reminder
A customer crosses the street fifty metres from your shop. Their card moves to the top of the lock screen — no notification, just a quiet reminder. Optional, off by default — most shops leave it off.
Reward earned🎁
Reward-ready push
The moment they've earned the free coffee, Wallet pushes "Your free coffee is ready." Most claim within a week.

Cash up front

Sell a stack of coffees today. Pour them all month.

"Ten coffees for €25. Pay once, drink all month." Sell the bundle through your website, Instagram, or right at the bar. The card lands in their wallet pre-loaded — no voucher to print, no codes to track.

Each visit, the barista taps a punch. The card counts down. When it hits zero, the customer either walks out — or buys another ten. Most buy another ten.

We have customers who come in for a coffee every day, and they feel valued by having rewards.
— Lorien Bakehouse, Argentina
"We're slammed at rush. There's no time for this."
Each scan is quick — about as long as it takes to hand over a coffee. Customers usually have the card open before they reach the bar because they've seen the routine. The line moves faster than punching paper cards or running a separate POS button.
"My customers are 50+. They won't use it."
Apple Wallet and Google Wallet are already on every iPhone and Android — the same place a boarding pass lives. No app to install. And if a customer doesn't use Wallet at all, they can download a PDF version of the card with the same QR — nobody gets left behind.
"We tried Square loyalty / a paper card / a punch app. Didn't work."
Paper falls out of wallets. POS-tied loyalty only counts at one shop and locks you in. Apps need installs nobody does. Wallet cards live where customers already keep their tickets, cards, and passes.
"What if I want a points card later, not stamps?"
Switch the program type, keep the customers. Their card updates automatically. Most shops start with a stamp card, add a birthday coupon a month in, and only later move to points or levels.

Questions coffee owners ask

The honest answers.

Yes — one small free app: Passtastic Scanner. It lives on whatever phone or iPad you already have behind the counter. Open it, tap to scan, done. No POS integration, no training session — most baristas figure it out on their first scan.
