Multi-Location Loyalty: How to Roll It Out Without an App
One loyalty program across all your locations — no app build, per-site reporting, and it works with the checkout you already run. Here's how groups roll it out.

You can run one loyalty program across every location you operate — without building an app, and without losing sight of what each site is doing. Most groups want a loyalty program. What stops them is the quote: a €30–40k app build, a POS integration project for every site, and six months of waiting. So the idea waits, each location keeps its own paper cards, and head office can't see any of it. A wallet card removes the build entirely and, just as important for a group, gives you one dashboard over all of it: which sites are signing people up, who's coming back at each one, and where your regulars actually are.
Why multi-location loyalty usually stalls
It's almost never the idea — it's the project. Loyalty has usually meant ordering an app build, wiring it into every checkout, and waiting half a year to launch. For a group running on tight margins, that never reaches the top of the list. Meanwhile the paper cards each site runs don't travel: a regular at your first location is a stranger at your third, and nobody above site level can see who's coming back where.
A wallet card removes the build. The card lives in the customer's phone — Apple or Google Wallet, nothing to download — and how it works is genuinely one sentence: customer shows the card, the stamp or points land, done. The cost changes too: instead of a big one-off build, it's a monthly subscription — the kind of expense you can start and stop, not a project you have to get approved.
One card, every site — your regulars travel with it
One card works at every location. A regular collects stamps at one of your locations and redeems the reward at another — same card, same balance, recognised at any counter, any shift.
At the counter it works whichever way your sites are set up. With your POS connected, stamps and points are added automatically at checkout — the sale happens, the card updates, staff don't do anything extra (Square is live today). Sites without a POS — or before you've connected one — use the free scanner app on any phone, including a shared counter phone: scan the customer's card after they pay, done. Both paths feed the same program and the same numbers.

Roll it out the way groups actually succeed: pilot at one location, get the reward and the staff routine right, then copy it to the rest. The second site takes minutes, because all the decisions were already made at the first — a small group can be live everywhere in days.

See every site without standing in it
For a group, this is the part that matters most: you can finally see all your locations in one place. Give each site its own scanner and its own QR poster link, and your multi-location dashboard breaks the numbers down per site — and lets you put sites side by side.
Concretely, per location you can see:
- New customers and returning customers — and the return rate, each with the change vs. the previous period. This is the "is it actually working?" number.
- Visit frequency — how many people visited once, a few times, or 5+ — so you can watch first-timers turn into regulars, site by site.
- Stamps and points issued, rewards earned — how actively each site runs the program day to day.
- Regulars going quiet — customers with 3+ visits who haven't been back in 30 days, per site — not a vague feeling that things got quieter, but an actual list of names.
- Sign-ups per poster and per site — every QR poster is a tracked link, so you know which shopfronts are doing the recruiting.
- A compare-locations view that puts sites next to each other on the same metric.

So you're never guessing. You can see which locations actually use the program and which need a push — if one site's scans drop in week two, you'll know, and it's usually fixed with a quick word to the team there.
(One thing to know: today, anyone with dashboard access sees every location's numbers. If you need to wall a franchise partner off so they see only their own site, that's a newer ask — check with us on where it stands before you count on it.)
It works with the checkout you already run
Your locations already run on a POS, and nobody wants to replace what works. So the program runs on its own from day one — you don't need any integration to launch, which keeps the pilot cheap. But it doesn't stay separate either: Square integration is live today, Lightspeed and Shopify are on the way, and Zapier connects sign-ups to the CRM you already use. If you run something custom, talk to us about a direct integration. In short: launch first, connect your systems when you're ready.
What to get right
A few things make or break it:
- One consistent reward across sites. Don't let each location invent its own rules — the value of one program is that it's one program, and your regulars experience it as one brand.
- Train each site in a sentence. "Scan the customer's phone after they pay." Staff change often — a one-sentence routine means every new person learns it on day one.
- Reach your regulars directly. A wallet push to your members is free and goes out in a minute — it fills a quiet Tuesday across every location at once. Text messages (SMS) are there too when you need them, on a credit basis.
And one limit to know: a card can't fix a weak location — if one site's service is off, fix that first.
Start with one location
If you've been looking at loyalty for months, the blocker was probably never the idea. Everything either asked your customers to download an app, or asked you to build one. A wallet card removes both: the wallet is already on their phone, and the program is ready the same afternoon.
So don't try to sell the whole rollout internally on day one. Pilot one location — the one with your steadiest team. A few weeks later you're not walking into that meeting with a proposal — you're walking in with numbers: sign-ups, scans, who's coming back. That's what gets a rollout approved. Then you copy it to every other site, and your locations start working as one brand across the whole group — with regulars who are recognised wherever they walk in.
One loyalty program across every location — no app build, and you can see it working per site.
