Connect Siigo

What this does

Connect Siigo and your register does the loyalty work for you. Your staff sell in Siigo POS the way they always do, with one habit added: before taking payment, they pick the customer under Cliente by typing the customer's ID number (cédula). Passtastic sees the paid sale and updates the customer's wallet card, usually within a few minutes.

When someone joins your loyalty program, Passtastic adds them to your Siigo customers with their ID number, so your staff find them at the register.

An example: Café Arrayán, a coffee shop with a stamp card. Valentina joins the program and types her cédula on the sign-up form. The next morning she buys a tinto: the cashier opens Cliente, types her cédula, picks her and takes payment. A few minutes later her card shows one more stamp.

This integration is included on every Passtastic plan: Single Location, Multi-Location and Groups & Brands.

Rewards are redeemed with the scanner app

Siigo can't recognise a reward at the register: a free item can't be rung up at price zero, and a discount carries no note of what it was for. So every reward, level perk and campaign offer is confirmed by scanning the customer's card in the Passtastic Scanner app, as today. Keep the app on a phone behind the counter.

Which cards can earn from Siigo sales

  • Stamp cards earn one stamp per paid sale.
  • Points and level cards earn by the points rule attached to the card, for example one point per 1,000 pesos. The tip is never counted. A card with no points rule earns nothing until you set one up.
  • Cards that start with a welcome coupon earn too, as the stamp, points or level card they turn into.
  • Other coupons, bundles (prepaid stamps / prepaid points) and memberships can't earn from Siigo sales, so they don't appear in the list of programs you can switch on.

Before you start

  • A Siigo Nube account and your API credentials, which you copy in Step 1 under Alianzas.
  • Your sales rung up in Siigo POS (or invoices issued in Siigo Nube).
  • At least one published points, level or stamp card in Passtastic. If you don't have one yet, create it from Programs → New program.
  • The free Passtastic Scanner app on a phone or tablet, for rewards.

Step 1 — Copy your API user and access key in Siigo

1. Sign in to Siigo Nube.

2. Open Alianzas (the handshake icon), then Credenciales de Siigo API.

3. Note the email of the API user, and click Copiar Access Key. The user and key fields on that page look empty: that is normal, the button still copies the key.

Keep the key private: it gives full access to your Siigo company. Never click Restablecer credenciales just to look: it makes a new key and stops the old one. If you ever do, reconnect Passtastic with the new key.

Step 2 — Connect Siigo to Passtastic

1. In your Passtastic dashboard, open Settings, then Integrations (under Business).

2. Find Siigo and click Set up.

3. Paste the email into API user (email) and the key into Access key, then click Connect Siigo.

We keep the access key encrypted to read your sales and add your members, and we delete it when you disconnect. One Siigo company connects to one Passtastic business, and it counts as one register, so it uses one scan point on your plan.

Earning starts from here, not from last month. Sales already in Siigo are not credited backwards. Everything paid from this moment on earns.

Step 3 — Choose which sales documents earn

Siigo saves every sale as an invoice under a document type, for example FV-6 · Documento de ingreso for your register. Under Sales from these Siigo documents earn every type starts switched on, except Loggro's (see If you also use Loggro Restobar below). Switch off the ones that are not counter sales, such as office invoices. Only invoices that are already paid when they are issued earn: an invoice sold on credit never earns, not even after the customer pays it later. A sales document you create in Siigo later starts switched off — switch it on here if its sales should earn.

Step 4 — Choose which programs earn

Under Which programs earn? you see every published stamp, points and level card. Switch on the ones that should earn from Siigo sales.

What your staff do at the counter

To earn: pick the customer before taking payment.

1. In Siigo POS, open Cliente.

2. Type the customer's ID number (cédula) and select them. Searching by phone number finds nothing in Siigo POS, so always use the cédula.

3. Take payment as usual.

A sale left on Consumidor Final earns nothing, and staff need to pick the member under Cliente before charging. If you notice while the customer is still there, scan their card to add the stamp.

To give a reward: scan the customer's card in the Passtastic Scanner app and confirm the reward, as today.

Your members in your Siigo customers

On programs that earn from Siigo, the sign-up form asks for an ID number (cédula), and it is required (3 to 13 digits). Siigo finds customers only by ID number, at the register and in our connection, so a member without one could never earn. This means someone without a Colombian cédula, for example a visitor with only a passport, can't join that program.

Where the cédula comes from. If your sign-up form already has its own cédula question (for example one labelled "Cédula" or "Documento"), we use it. Under each program on the Siigo page you see Cédula taken from: «your question». Otherwise we add an ID number field to the form.

New members are added as they join. When someone joins, Passtastic adds them to your Siigo customers with their ID number, name, mobile phone (Colombian numbers) and email, and a comment starting with Passtastic so you can recognise them. Somebody Siigo already has with the same ID number is linked, not duplicated. This needs Add new members to my Siigo customers to be switched on.

Members who joined before you connected are added when you confirm. Press Add … members to Siigo on the Siigo page and confirm. They are added at about 20 a minute, and the page shows the progress. Members without a valid cédula are skipped and are not added to Siigo; they earn with the scanner app. If you link another program later, the page asks again for that program's members.

You can switch automatic adding off with Add new members to my Siigo customers. Customers already added stay in Siigo, and removing a member in Passtastic never deletes their Siigo customer.

One card earns per cédula. If someone has two cards on the same program with the same cédula, sales at the counter earn on the card they used most recently. Merge or remove duplicate cards to avoid confusion.

Voids and credit notes

  • Annul (Anular) an invoice in Siigo and Passtastic takes back everything that sale earned, usually within a few minutes.
  • Issue a credit note (Nota crédito) for part of a sale and Passtastic takes back that part. You can turn this off with Take stamps and points back for credit notes on the Siigo page; an annulled invoice is always taken back.

A card never drops below zero: if the customer has already spent those points, it stops at zero.

If you also use Loggro Restobar

Loggro Restobar sends its sales to Siigo too. If both are connected to Passtastic, the same sale would earn twice. When Loggro Restobar is already connected in Passtastic, its document types start switched off on the Siigo page and are marked Loggro; leave them off, so those sales earn once, through Loggro. If you connect Loggro later, switch those document types off yourself.

Disconnecting

Click Disconnect on the Siigo page in Passtastic. Sales stop earning, new members are no longer added to Siigo, and we delete your access key straight away. Your customers keep everything they have earned, and nothing is deleted in Siigo.

Troubleshooting

"Siigo did not accept that API user and access key." Copy the key again with Copiar Access Key and check the email of the API user, then try again.

"That Siigo API user can't read your invoices, credit notes or customers." Ask Siigo to give the API user full API access, then connect again.

"This Siigo company is linked to another Passtastic business." One Siigo company connects to one Passtastic business, even after it has been disconnected there. Contact us and we'll move it.

A banner says Siigo stopped accepting our access key. The key was reset with Restablecer credenciales, or API access was switched off. Copy the new key and paste it on the Siigo page; your settings are kept.

"Some members weren't added yet." We try again every day. If it stays that way, contact us and we'll look into it.

The "Add … members to Siigo" button doesn't show. Switch on Add new members to my Siigo customers on the Siigo page. Viewers can't add members, so you need a role that can manage the integration.

A banner says members without a valid ID number can't be added to Siigo. Some members joined without a valid cédula (none, or a number that is not 3 to 13 digits), for example before you connected Siigo. They are not in your Siigo customers. If staff create them in Siigo with the same email or phone number they joined with, their sales earn.

Stamps or points didn't arrive. Most often the customer wasn't picked on the sale, or the sale was on a document type that is switched off, or the invoice was sold on credit (an invoice that isn't paid when it is issued never earns). It can also be timing: allow a few minutes. If it still hasn't arrived, check on the Siigo page that the program is switched on.

For running loyalty without a POS, or connecting other tools, see POS Systems & Integrations. There is an overview of what Siigo and Passtastic do together on the Siigo integration page.
