Update Your Payment Method

Change the card on your account

1. Open Settings from the sidebar.

2. Under Billing & plan, open Subscription & Billing.

3. Scroll to the bottom and click Manage Billing in Stripe.

4. Your billing portal opens. It's hosted by Stripe, so your card details never touch Passtastic — we never see or store your card number.

5. Choose Add payment method, enter the new card, and set it as the default.

6. Close the portal. You'll come straight back to Passtastic.

Adding a card doesn't charge you. Your plan, your price and your renewal date all stay exactly as they were.

Fix a failed payment

If a payment fails, you'll see a notice at the top of your billing page and your account keeps working for a short grace period.

Add a working card using the steps above. Stripe retries the charge on its own — you don't need to pay manually, and you don't need to message us.

If your subscription has already been suspended, add the card first, then message us in the chat and we'll switch your access back on.

Download an invoice

In the same billing portal, open Invoice history. Every invoice is there as a PDF, including ones issued before you changed cards.

Do I have to cancel and re-subscribe to change my card?

No. Adding a new card in the billing portal is all it takes. Your plan, price and renewal date don't change, and there's no gap in your service.

Will changing my card charge me straight away?

No. Adding a card doesn't trigger a payment. The new card is used at your next renewal — unless you have a failed payment outstanding, in which case Stripe retries it shortly after you add the card.

Can I have more than one card on file?

Yes. The billing portal keeps every card you add and uses whichever one is set as default. It's worth keeping a spare on file so an expired card never interrupts your programs.

Who can change the payment method?

Only the account owner. Admins and editors can run your programs day to day, but billing is owner-only.

Something not adding up on your bill? Message us in the chat — a real person will look at your actual account.
