Change the Words on Your Card (Rename Points and More)
Most of the text on your card is yours to write — including the word next to the points number. Anything you type is shown on the card exactly as you wrote it, in every language.
Rename "Points" on a points or level card
Call your points whatever fits your business: Stars, Coins, Beans, Karma.
When you create the card: under What do you call them?, pick Points, Stars or Coins, or choose Your own and type your word (up to 20 characters). The preview shows it straight away.
On a card you already published:
1. Go to Programs and open your points program. 2. Open the Setup tab and go to Points & reward (on a level card: Levels & benefits). 3. Under What do you call them?, pick a word or type Your own. 4. Save.
The word shows on the wallet card next to the balance, on your customer's loyalty page, and in the scanner app. Cards already in your customers' wallets update automatically.
Points is shown in each customer's own language. Stars and Coins are written in the language you use Passtastic in when you pick them (a Polish account gets "Gwiazdki"), and the card keeps that word for every customer. A word you type yourself is shown exactly as typed.
On a level card that levels up by visits, the word names the points customers collect to spend (turn on Customers also collect points they can spend first); the levels themselves always count visits.
Name what a bundle counts
On a bundle (a card that holds a number of visits or items, like "10 coffees"), use What are you counting? to say what's in it — for example drinks, classes or visits. That word replaces "Remaining" on the card (up to 30 characters). You set it when you create the bundle, and you can change it later on the Setup tab.
Use your own unit for store credit
Store credit doesn't have to be money. In Currency, choose Something else… and type your unit — Tokens, Game Points, Credits (up to 30 characters, whole numbers only). The balance then reads in that unit on the card, the loyalty page, your customer list and the scanner. See Selling bundles, store credit & memberships yourself.
Name your levels
On a level card, every level has its own name — Bronze, Silver, Gold, or anything you like. Start a name with an emoji to give it a badge. Set them in Levels & benefits → Membership levels on the Setup tab.
Add your own text to the card
On the Setup tab, under Card details:
- Name on the card and Short description — your business name and a line under it.
- Extra details on the card → Add field — your own rows with a label and a value (opening hours, a phone number, a website, a rule). They show on the back of the card; to put one on the front, choose it in Card layout → Custom front field.
Your reward text, offer text, welcome message, sign-up questions and notification texts are also written by you and shown as typed.
The page where customers get your card
The page behind your sign-up link and QR code is built from your card, so most of what customers read there is yours to change. Open the program, go to the Setup tab, and edit:
- Name on the card (under Card details) — your business name at the top of the page, next to your logo.
- Short description (under Card details) — the line under your name on the wallet card. It also shows as a line of text near the top of the sign-up page, and is left out when you leave it empty.
- Logo, photo and colours (under Design) — the page takes its colours from your card, shows your logo beside your name, and shows your photo right under them.
- Your reward — the large line under the photo says what customers get, in your own words: your reward and how many stamps it takes (Stamps & reward), the welcome gift on a coupon, your top level's benefit (Levels & benefits) or your membership offer. A points card shows "Collect points and swap them for rewards". If a stamp card's reward is still the default "Free item", the page says "Collect 8 stamps for a reward" instead.
- Welcome message (under Sign-up info, when Ask customers for their details is on) — the line above the sign-up form. Leave it empty and the form has no line above it. Anything you type is shown exactly as you wrote it, in every language.
- Your own questions (under Sign-up info) — the question you type is the label customers see, exactly as written.
The standard questions (Name, Email, Phone, Birthday, Address) use fixed labels that are translated for each customer, so you can turn them on or off but not rename them.
You can't change the buttons and instructions on the page (Add to Apple Wallet, Add to Google Wallet, Continue, Download PDF, "Scan with your phone", the steps that appear if the card doesn't arrive), or the privacy consent line under the form. These are translated automatically so every customer reads them in their own language.
What you can't rename
- "Stamps" on a stamp card. The stamp line (for example, "3 more stamps for a free coffee") is translated automatically into your customer's language. You choose the reward and how the stamps look — see Stamps on your card.
- A few small system words, such as Level, Expires and Name — these are translated automatically so every customer reads them in their own language.
