Choose membership type
Choose how customers can join your loyalty program:
Regular loyalty card (most popular choice)
Anyone can join by scanning your QR code or visiting your link. Perfect for:
- Coffee shops wanting to reward regular customers
- Restaurants building a loyalty base
- Retail stores encouraging repeat visits
- Salons growing their customer base
You can still collect customer information when they sign up.
Stamp cards, points cards, level cards, coupons and multi-use passes are always created this way, so anyone who scans your poster can add them. There's no invite-code switch when you create one.
Members‑only card
Only people you specifically invite can join. Good for:
- Exclusive VIP programs ("Platinum members only")
- Employee or staff perks
- Private clubs or paid memberships
- Beta testing a new program with select customers
Each invite gets a unique code they must enter to activate their card.
When you create a Membership, Bundle or Store credit card, Require an invite code is on by default. To make a stamp, points or level card, a coupon or a multi-use pass members‑only, publish it first, then open the program's Setup tab and turn on Members only.
Note: Members‑only requires you to send individual invitations, so it takes more work to manage.
